I was just kidding....I was weaned on GK...I like their stuff, Just like the tone and looks of Ampeg. GK's are light, which is a HUGE plus...they're great for paper weights.

don't get me wrong. I've played thru GK heads and liked what I heard. But it's still not an ampeg, plain and simple.
I've played through mesa boogie 400+. those , I thought, were absolute garbage. I traded that for my current SVT CL. Over the years the only reason I ever got rid of ampegs was because I had no means to move them. ounce for ounce, nothing touches an ampegs tone!
again, just one mans opinion... and we all know about opinions, don't we?? LOL
