WOW..what a difference! Compared to the stock Axis pickup (Tone Zone) 1) The bottom is tighter and more pronounced 2) it's not nearly as hot and harsh 3) the highs are alot smoother and 4) the mids are sweet. Lots o' clarity as well. I'm tempted to get the matching neck to go along with it. This is the first Dimarzio that I've actually liked!

I absolutely love Breeds... When I was playing Jems, I put them in the bridge of all my Jems that came with PAF Pros or EVOs... Just a really well ballanced rock pickup! I bet they sound killer in an Axis...

i've never heard of that pickup, is it lower output? sounds interesting i'm looking to update some gibson pups but i have a feeling i'll be falling into the infamous EMG 81/81 or 81/85 combo.

Yup..."The Breed" is definetly a great pickup. I agree with Jimi's opinion 100%...very well balanced with great harmonics. Hey Jimi, have you tried the neck Breed as well?
