Dear Knuckleheads,
I’ve joined this forum in 2009 spring, only dreaming about a JP. I am an amateur player , quit playing for 6-7 years cause I saw no future on musical career and after my first 3 years of work I’ve realized even I’ll never be a guitar player like I was always dreaming my life is empty without playing a guitar .
After few weeks on the forum I’ve decided to loan money from the bank for my first Music Man – a fully loaded JP6. :D
A dream guitar and even I wasn’t very satisfied first about some aspects (tunning problems, quick fret wear (SS frets preferred ), some light chip off on the tremolo plate at the 2 studs - which all may be normal problems after all on a guitar ) I loved the guitar from the beginning and still love it like the first day. :p
Every day I play it I feel alive again and every chance to compare it with other guitars makes me realize what a fabulous instrument it is. Every working day I find myself at the office dreaming about my JP and go home and play it and every day spent on others activities seems a big waste of time cause I’m obsessed about this guitar. My girlfriend, a former piano player with prizes at international level in high school, says is more afraid of my passion for the guitar than of the other beautiful women I may meet every day, because she knows what an addiction of this type means. :D
Now, even I don’t need another guitar I always loved the single coil sounds, always loved Luke’s sound, and never liker how a strat looks or feels like :(
So out of nowhere I see on ebay a Luke fully loaded and a pic on avatar reminding me of some EB forum user “Fingbeagles”…so I looked on the forum and found that “Fingbeagles” is now “Sweat”.
Never intended to buy a second MM guitar because I don’t actually need one an in the same time not afford one.
But while I’m still paying at the bank for my JP, I said what the hell I have only one life and…I…have only one ball. Others have too many balls, so a second loan came just like that and Sweat is our forumite who made me a man : I’ll have 2 balls

I am a crazy man, living in a poor country and buying 2 premium guitars only for a hobby- everyone around says that, but I am positive you will accept me sick as I am :D and understand :):)
Paul

That's great ! Congrats the Luke is a terrific guitar, and Keith (aka sweat or fingbeagles) is a great person with a great soul

Hope the loans will not be too much of burden for you

Thats great Paul. Glad you could get that loaded Luke at a good price.

Keith’s a great guy and obviously a great guy to deal with.

Congratulations!

Sterling silver. Nice colour and good price for new guitar.

"...I said what the hell I have only one life and…I…have only one ball..."

That is right thinking. I completely agree with you... :))

Through which you send the guitar? USPS? Fedex?

Man, you hit it right on the head, when I play guitar, it just makes me feel alive even if my day has gone terribly. Hearing the sweet sounds that can be coaxed from the instrument and feeling the emotion behind it just makes everything better.

And that's worth the investment.

(Just make sure you keep the payments so the Bank wont come and take you're Balls!)

Congrats, and that is really a special ax so you have a win-win situation. Paulo I think just about everyone here would say their big dreams of playing or should I say -becoming a famous player are years behind them, but most guys would still say they love to play as much as Petrucci or Luke till this day. Even if you take a few year hiatus you can find yourself picking one up and getting right back into, I play because I love to as I would believe you do and if anyone else likes whats played thats a bonus.
