Sweeeet!! Coated Bass Strings!!!

I've sent my coated slinkys back to CS as requested. Two sets in a row were 'unsatisfactory' after only days. I also sent them my still somewhat playable, 4 month old Elixirs for comparison. I'm hoping to be somehow helpful to CS and not just a complainer.

I would love to have the EB coateds be the Elixir killers, but in my experience so far, Elixirs are the ones to beat for extreme longevity and value.

Finally got a set of Coated 100-45 strings on my Stingray today. Regular Slinky bass strings last 3-4 months. Sad but true, I don't get to play as much as I'd like to. So let the longevity test begin.

There still going strong an sounding bright, just cant get rid of the darn squeeking (finger noise) im getting off them ! but appart from that im very happy with them

Its been 5 months. All I have done is dry wipe my strings when I am done playing. The E string is starting to sound a bit dull. The A, D, & G are OK. I will probably change them out this week. To get 4 months out of the Regular Slinky strings, I would wipe them down with alcohol or EB string wipes once in a while. I put only about 8-10 hours a month of playing time. My sweat is low ph so I don't rust strings. Hope this helps if your interested.
