I made an impulse buy on another brand of high-end bass several months ago (boo hiss). I've regretted it ever since wishing I would have bought another Stingray. I never could get this bass set up and playing right. Well, yesterday I picked up a set of Slinkys to replace the OEM strings (same brand as bass). While the bass is still a disapointment replacing the strings made a hell of a difference. I can actually stand playing the thing now!
