Hey guys, I'm new to this forum and not too experienced in guitar maintenance. Basically, I'm looking to get a JP6, but I play mostly with .09s and it comes with .10s. After changing the string set, would I need to adjust the truss rod or mess with the saddles? Thanks, and hopefully I'll join you guys after getting my JP6 :)

you may only need to do very minor adjustments, my first jp came with 10's and i put 9's on it and i think only needed to adust the trem claw screws and the truss rod a little... my current JP came stock with 9's (got it when JP went through a 9 gauge phase). if your not too sure take it to a good guitar shop to get set up. :)

ever think about trying a set of the Hybrid Slinkys? They give you the bottom end of 10's and the top of a set of 9's. (46-9 if I remember right) In my personal opinion it is great for tone and feel... you shouldn't have to do anything to your guitar to use them. Its worth a try...

My JP came with 10s and I changed it to 9s. I had to adjust the trem claw screws a small amount. I didn't need to adjust anything else. It stayed intonated and had the right action, etc., despite the change.
