how do you want them to sound? theyre easily the most versatile amps out there. tube and solid state preamp, 3 band eq boost, five band eq. i can get a great bassy ampeg sound, or a really nice mid-scooped swr sound. i just really prefer what some people refer to as the colored, sterile sound of GK

Thats the head I'm actually getting. A GK 1001RB-II. I got a deal at my local GC for $550 plus tax. And then a 410RBH cab for $400.

firstoff- I like the Popeye speak-- (substitute all "my"s for "me"). It gives your messages a sailor-man flavor.

second- make sure you figure out how much the thing will cost to ship so you don't get screwed on the shipping.

Do you feel GK is colored OR sterile? They are kind of opposites.

Great rig. I am currently running that same setup. however I will be getting one of the new Neo2x12 cabs today if UPS doesnt screw up. I may be biased as an endorsee, but I dont feel like you can go wrong woth the GK gear.

I'd be very interested in hearing what you think of the GK Neo 2x12. I'm using a GK 1001RB-II 210 combo + a GK 115RBH cab and I'm thinking about swapping the 1x15 for a 4x10 or 2x12.
