A whirlwind last 3 days has come to a close, as I board my plane to the desert this morning.

Yesterday morning I woke up and headed directly to the Ernie Ball stage and caught some great bands. Authority Zero is a punk / reggae band from Arizona that wil be playing for a week on the Ernie Ball stage at this summers Warped Tour. Great frontman - www.purevolume.com/authorityzero

After that I caught Mute Math. For those of you who haven't seen Mute Math they had over 1500 people out in front of our stage yesterday. A really cool set. The singer sounds like a modern day indie Sting. Check them out - www.purevolume.com/mutemath.

A great friend of Dargies and mine Mike Hicks was in town with his band Nothington playing at the infamous Emo's music venue. They were just featured in Alternative Press as one of the 100 bands to watch out for in 2007.

After Mike's set, we met up with Scott Dodge, Cedric Benson, Dustin Hinz, Kari Delonge and headed over to the Pure Volume After Party. Kari is Tom Delonge from Blink 182 / Angels and Airwaves sister and is a new friend. All in all a great time, and look forward to coming here next March.

Caught some bands playing music man guitars and a glutton of EB basses., and can't tell you how many EB string packs I saw near most every stage I saw.

Got to catch my plane, signing off from Austin TX -

I remember Mute Math when you guys were out here in Va. Beach for the Warped Tour...awesome band. I went and saw them at a local show as well. Great band for sure.

I think it's great that we get reports on the goings-on without actually having to go walk around Austin!

Kind of like watching Mardi Gras in New Orleans on the TV......much better!

I'll be here all summer. Plenty of music to hear and BBQ to eat. That tiny horsey guy even pops around from time to time.

SXSW is certainly crazy. But there's good music all the time. Maybe we'll even be able to get some of the Dallas crowd to head south. Rumor has it they get all nervous around Waco and turn back.

man... i wish i would have gone to sxsw. i think i could have gone for work but i had to stick around and finish our website.

2 of my coworkers went and im totally jealous. one of em was the bassist for babes in toyland and went to H with Tom Morello so needless to say they had an awesome time, hung out with awesome people and got into all the awesome shows. getting a text message from my other cowrokers saying they he was hanging with Tom Morlleo and Slash was salt on the wound.

hopefully ill get to go next year.

Yeah, I saw Mute Math last Tuesday in NYC. They were unbelievably good.

SXSW was a heck of a lot of fun too. Wish I saw them there as well. Stood in line to see Spoon/the Stooges but gave up after an hour. Can't wait til next year!
