Yah they made Rosewood Axis for a little while, people that have them love them.

The auction is marked incorrect though. The Axis Sport has been discontinued for a long time now, they never made the Axis Sport with a Rosewood body.

Hope this helps, Glenn |B)

Question: why does the headstock say it's an Axis, not an ASS? The axis always has got a floyd nowadays, so where's the locking nut?

check this thread Frankenstein's monster :)

As for the Axis neck Dave's having a LOT of guitars, it can come from anywhere

Interesting to read the comments of this 2 years old thread and how people have changed their mind about rosewood neck !

so it looks like the all rosewood neck went onto a blueburst Axis SS body, but this neck now on this Rosewood body is a plain Axis (non SS or Sport). Is there a third guitar involved here?

Also, this maple neck/rosewood board is a plain Axis...I didn't realize the rosewood board was an option on plain Axis's? Am I wrong on this? I thought the Rosewood board was only an option on Super Sports....?

Interesting nonetheless.

ah, makes sense.

It still looks like the all rosewood (ASS) neck went onto a blueburst ASS body, but this neck now on this Rosewood body is a plain Axis (non SS or Sport). Is there a third guitar involved here?

Just curious about the chain of events I guess.

Crazy stuff. But I do know I have a spare Axis SS all RW neck :) Makes a fun swap on my Axis Sport from time to time.

Who the hell would buy a ball from DaveB???? -

Just kidding - Dave is a top bloke and put me in the driver seat of my BFR AL - not to mention Ernie Ball Strap locks,

The other guitar he built using the right neck was at last years bash - killer in the flesh.
