I was in an earthquake near Seattle once and had the privelidge of experiencing it while in a house that was on a steep hillside that happened to be on stilts. That was fun.

I was awake .. saw the kitchen cabinets shake a bit. My dog was more freaked out than me ..
We're used to it by now ;)

That one sucked. We didn't even have time to run around, hoot and hollar ..

meh, it was a 3.3. Wasn't too exciting. I thought someone hit the building with a backhoe. :p:D

Edit: backhoe: large vehicle with excavating capabilities used in large-scale construction
