Its a beautiful guitar, and one that I hope to own one day! I have always fancied the red ones with the black scratch plate. IN hardtail of course!

My AL HH has been my number one since the day I picked it up about a year ago. She replaced my Silhouette Special who is now my back up. I play mainly 90s style punk, hardcore along with good ol rock and I find it covers it all real well. The guitar is not dark or bright but over all well balanced. Pluse with the 5 way pickup switch you can get a lot of tones. More so than some other brands out there that offer the same HH pickup configuration. My only downside to it is that I am not fond of it when I do my "upstroke style" of playing for ska and reggae but that is why I have my Silhouette Special that nails that tone! The rosewood neck is to die for on it and feels like I have been playing it for years the day I got it. There is also the WOW factor I get with this guitar. I can not tell you how many times I get some kind of reaction when I take it places. Mainly good for the most part and with some mixed but none the less my AL HH is always a head turner!

Awesome and welcome !! Great little amp too. I've been trying to sell one up here (Canada) for a couple of months but no one seems interested. They obviously don't know a good thing when they see one . Great match for the AL but then most amps are :)

I love the look and the tones of the Albert Lee and nearly bought one recently but I've been tempted by the Reflex/25th/GC. I've never had a change to play the Reflex/25th so I don't know how it sounds in comparison to the Albert Lee HH.

I know about the differences in pickup switching options and the body/neck woods between the Reflex and Al HH but....what is the difference in their tone? What would make you choose an Al HH over the Reflex (looks/appearance aside)?

I'm sitting here drooling over the look of that Tobacco Sunburst Al and I much prefer the look of it over the Reflex but, when push comes to shove, tonal flexibility will win me over and I'm really waiting for the GC to be available.

But, I have an opportunity to buy an Al and trying to think of why I wouldn't just wait for the GC.

Help!! :)

Thanks dave. I put my mesa on cl once or twice no interest here either. But I like it with this AL.
I use a princeton reverb ri also. I dont really need two quality amps for home, but I like them both.
