You betcha....best looking Bass I've seen for a while...I want one.

I believe the tuners are black....in fact everything on it is black....it would be a mean machine with a graphite neck though!!!!

ya i know the tuners r black too...looks pretty sweet...as well as the black pole pieces.

Can't wait till the next limited production model comes out.

Btw, if u custom order a bass, will it come with a neck plate that says "custom made" (like on the Onyx) or will it just be like any other sterlings/rays.

well as i understand it, the allmighty Flea useda music man for a while, and i know for a fact he now uses and endorses Modulas. by any chance, was the MM he played a Cutlass??? what are the differences between the Cutlass and the StingRay? quite frankly, if u ask me, if u have sterling....it doesn't really need to get much brighter IMHO.

last question as of now...what album did Flea change to Modulas????

dunno but heard rumors that flea switched to modulus cuz EB won't let him have his own signature model or something.

"Cutlass 1" is a Pre-EB Sting Ray with a graphite neck.

"Cutlass 11" is a Pre-EB Sabre with a graphite neck.

The earlier versions merely had "Cutlass" on the headstock rather than "Cutlass 1" or "Cutlass 11". Hope my good friend in China doesn’t mind me showing this beauty….

The early necks were made by Modulus. The latter necks are marked "manufactured by MM under license from Modulus"....whatever that means in actuallity!

I had thought they were made in 1983 only but, as Derek has pointed out in a nearby thread, they range from circa 1980 to 83/84. When I think about it, that is correct as some had the strings running through the body....string-through which was fazed out by MM around 1980.
