I always tought Musicman basses have the best Slap tone around..., well, since September my dream came true when my Bongo arrived and yes, it has a killer Slap sound..., but what surprise me the most is how good is this bass for doing tapping. So, I want to share with you a composition I created using this technique [ame="http://es.youtube.com/watch?v=rPAdo96U-ws"]YouTube - Borja Bass Solo Nº 2[/ame]
I hope you like it.

Francisco de Borja.

Francisco , that is awesome. Very nice playing. You are outstanding.

I wish I could find someone to teach me how to do that technique. I cant figure it out on my own..

Very good. Not what I'm into, but enjoyable all the same.

I checked out some of your other videos. Absolutely fantastic playing. Very solid.

Excellent Francisco! Aside from your playing, your composition skills are great.

Billy, I can recommend a great online music education site (guitar & bass) created by solo bassist Adam Nitti. The site is MusicDojo.

Several pro bassists deliver courses there. Dave LaRue does a tapping course there - I think his is the level 2 tapping course. Adam Nitti does a level 1 course that's great. I've really gotten alot out of the various courses I've taken there. I really dig the format - a combo of text-based "lecture" and QuickTime audio/video clips. Each class is $50 bucks there, and consists of 20 lessons - a lesson for every day of a month, minus weekends. During the month that the course runs, the instructor responds to questions about the material, etc... But even after the course ends, you still have permanent access to all the class materials, to review as often as you want.

There's a free 1 week intro course that allows you to check it out & see if the content & format work for you. I highly recommend the dojo - best music education site I've seen.

Later,
Robert

Very cool! I am working on a similar tapping technique right now and experimenting with string gauges to try and nail the right combination.

Thanks for sharing!
