Teaching bass to my son

Do most parents (who play bass) also attempt to teach their children bass? I am starting to think I'm pushing the age limit at home. My son is just not coordinated enough yet. Though he does have a great deal of enthusiasm.

I got the opportunity to teach my dad to play bass about 3 years before he passed away. I'll never forget that time that we spent together.

Cute pic! My daughter is 2 & she knows how to hold one of those funny little 6-string piccolo basses.

All I need to do now & find her a mini-bass & start teaching her!
