Hey I'm pretty new so I have a question for those SS owners out there. How many of you use Tech21 Trademark 10 amps?? I've been thinking about getting one of these for a while now, but as always lack of $$$.

Looking for opinions, both good and bad about this amp and SS combo.

Thanx :D

I think the Trademark 10 is a great practice amp if you need a lot of workable tones at LOW volumes - I use mine every night for practice or noodling once the kids are in bed, and it's perfect for tweaking out a monstrous metal tone that's quiet enough that you can hear the 11 o'clock News over your playing  It's not a channel-switching amp by any stretch of the imagination, since every time you change one of the mode switches you have to tweak the volumes and EQ to get things where they sound good again... It can get pretty loud, but my cabinet will start to buzz if I crank it up too much (I've fixed this problem before by searching out a screw driver and torquing down all the visible screws and bolts, but I'm too lazy to bother of late)... I haven't used it to record with yet - mostly because I haven't found the time to lay a track in about three years  - but I intend to use it one day... I owned the Tech21 SansAmp Classic and GT-2 pedals before this, and that's why I bought the Trademark 10; I much prefer the sound of the solid state emulation used in the Tech21 stuff to the digital emulations used in the POD and it's ilk, but I do own a GuitarPort for practicing at the computer...

Jimi D, thanx for the reply. I knew that you had one and from your webpage it sounded like you loved it. :)

I like mine a lot. It has a very good tone and is easy to use. I also think that it offers a lot of versatility with its modled sounds that helps when you want to play away from home but don't want to bring a ton of pedals. I reccomend it to anyone that wants something small, portable and that sounds very nice.

Great amp. I gig with mine. I use it an A/B configuration with my 5150 Combo. I put the T-10 on the B channel for my clean sounds. I have to have it fed back to me in my monitor, but it sounds great out front. It is extremely versitile, getting every sound from a Fender Tweed to a Mesa Dual Rectifier convincingly.
Awesome to practice with too.

Gotta watch the mids and turn the input down a touch, but it sounds great with a Super Sport, really....
