Wow. Long time, no post...

I was wondering if there would be anybody here who would be willing to trade their dual-pickup Bongo for a single-pickup Sterling. Below are a few pics of my Sterling. It has Dunlop Straploks installed, and it currently has DR Extra Life strings on it. It's in like new condition.

I play mostly rock, and I just think a dual pickup bass will give me more of the tone I need. The Sterling is a great bass, though. Anyhoo, just post here or send me a PM or e-mail if you're at all interested. The color of the Bongo doesn't really matter as long as it's a dual-pickup model.

Just looked at Bass Central's site and noticed that Bongos apparently DON'T come standard with cases. My bad.:(

Has anybody else had problems shipping basses in gig bags? I have... Is there a safe way to do it?

The new Bongos should ship with a factory case. I don't know exactly when they started including a case but I'm sure someone from MM can tell you.

I see. Some of them (at Bass Central) include a case, and others say case or gig bag sold separately.

Trust me, I know. He's picking up a case tonight that he'll include with the bass.

I just wanted to follow up and say my transaction with corrosiontrav went very smoothly. I'm now the proud owner of a Bongo 4HH in Rolls Burgundy.

He bought a lightweight "hard" case for it, and it works great. I've actually used a case like this for a previous bass.

I adjusted the truss rod, so the relief is looking good. I adjusted the string height and pickup height. Now I'll just need to throw some new strings on it and check intonation.

Some of the comments I received at rehearsal yesterday were, "That's definitely a weird looking bass" and "What the hell?!?!":D I like unique...

I'm glad you dig the Bongo, man!

I'm groovin on the Sterling as well.

Brian is a great guy to deal with!
