I came across this thread today...........although I'm a father myself I've never been through anything like this so I can only imagine how difficult these past few weeks have been for you and your family.I'm sorry that you and your daughter Holly have had to go through all of this....but I'm happy to see that she's making what I hope is a speedy recovery.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours.

thanks again everyone, it's school holidays and Holly is being a normal kid. You parents know what that's like right? Fighting with siblings, saying I'm bored, I'm hungry etc. It's good that things are pretty much normal again :D. She will have years of scar management but she's a happy kid :)

Have you tried playing guitar? Good chance she'll either run to her room and hide...or go outside to play. :D

Colin my heart and prayers go out to your daughter and I pray for her to have a swift and total recovery.I have seen it all in my life and the one thing that effects me is when something bad happens to a child. I feel all will be well, and 20 years from now you guys will look back on this and she will know how her family was there and how much you went through and how much she is loved.
