Just got my 1994 Ray back from San Luis to Australia.

What can a guy say...but thanks!

Initial arrangements with Beth, Jon did the work and Dan organised the shipping back here.

I know that others were involved behind the scene and thank them aswell.

Five star service and craftsmanship.

Thanks guys. Y'all an asset to company Ball

>>>What was the reason for having it shipped? Complete overhaul?

Incorrectly stored for 10 years. I got a new neck done.

>>>How is the fine Mary Kaye now?

I think we're the only two on the Forum with Mary Kayes. The fret dressing on this baby is something to behold

Yeah, I know the rules ;)

This is an old composite. I'll have to do new pics.

I like this finish. Gavin and Moondog are the ONLY two people I've ever seen with this finish. I personally like the black PG but the Tort would most likely look great too!

>>>In what way was the storing inappropriate?

The Rosewood had dried out. In the end, it came up ok with lemon oil but but a bit dead on the E string. Perhaps I was too particular. Anyhow, it's a killer now.

And here I was, hoping for a "leaning in the corner by the fireplace for ten years"-story:D

Congrats on the new fret board then!

It used to be Musicman Nuts Bass (Dave). He sold it to a tech at Seymore Duncan.

It was stored on their premises for years. I imagine it was the air conditioning as it can dry the air.
