Dear Fellow Knuckleheads
This is just a little note from us to say a big BIG THANKYOU for everything you've done. I know I've said it before, but there really are no words for how touched we've been by everyone's generosity and kind words.
A week ago when we heard back from the mortgage peeps and realised this big mistake had been made, it just felt like our world was coming crashing down round our ears. After the burglary and everything that went along with that, we just didn't feel safe and our opinion of people was at rock bottom!
Unfortunately, with needing to raise some cash QUICK, the only things that we have of any real value are our guitars, and so, up on the chopping block they went. Never in a million years did we expect the kind of response that we got from Ritchie and in turn from the rest of you guys. And then the running total kept creeping up and up! After a while we got to thinking that maybe it would happen and we'd be able to keep them. And it was just lovely to have that little bit of hope after the last 2 weeks!
We've just been reminded, that no matter how bad life is, or what happens to you, there are always good people out there who care, and who look out for each other and who try and help whenever possible. You lot are part of that group of people. In fact you're better as you all like Balls!
To be honest, in some ways you guys feel more like family than our own flesh and blood - hard to explain why that is, but you just are It's funny how online communities like this come together and how the relationships form, but I wouldn't change it for the world. Or any of you
The thing is, you lot haven't just made it possible for us to keep our Balls, you've also made it possible for us to buy our first home together - something that we can never repay you for. (And yes, I know the flat doesn't exist without pics... these will be forthcoming )
We wanted to stick up a picture of us with the newly rescued Balls, however we couldn't agree on which pic we liked more. I preferred the 1st one, Trev the 2nd. So we've just posted them both
We don't wanna single people out for praise, but hell, we'll do it anyway :
Ritchie - you are a legend. Without you this wouldn't have happened. We owe you one - big time!
Sterling & the team at EBMM - without we wouldn't even have these instruments, and worse still, NO FORUM! Thankyou for making this all possible and for putting up with me
Last, but by no means least, All Of You for doing what you do best and being damned good pals We don't know everyone's situation which is why we appreciate every penny donated.
All that is left to say (yup, I'm nearly done) is that our door is open for all of you - should you need someplace to crash, or want to pop in to say hi You mean more to us than you'll ever know.
