i really am one of the most cautious (or stupid) people when it comes to bass tinkering....

I spent 30 minutes changing the battery's.............. :eek:

Better safe than sorry. If you are like me, though, you'll spend 30 minutes changing the battery, and then knock the headstock into the ceiling fan when you stand up... :rolleyes:

Ouch. I did that to my most expensive bass (not an EBMM) when I was inspecting it for dings after my first gig with it. Took a nice chip out of the paint on the matching headstock. Thanks for reminding me. :eek:

Back to topic, I like the OEM black guard best, but the cream is nice too. Not a fan of the abalone.

Yeah, that's the one. I keep meaning to get it fixed, but that would require some effort and expense on my part. Besides, it doesn't bother me as much since I'm spending most of my limited bass playing time these days with the 30th SR.
