Wow! The outside pics look awesome!

Hmmm..... I still lean more to it being Sapphire Black.
Especially the outdoor pics. I would think Graphite would be more gray.

Here's outdoor pics of both colours.

Here's what I learned from Dan when I originally posted the serial number . . . . .

Tony, this Albert Lee with MM-90s and tremolo in Graphite Pearl with black pickguard was completed on 4/01/08 and was shipped to Ye Olde Music Shop near Charleston, SC.

Dan

I've reposted it to double check. He told me the wrong DOB (or just an early April Fools joke), so maybe to color report was a joke too.

Also, I had taken some outside-in-the-sun pics when I first got the guitar. Maybe these will help.

Now those confirm it!
That's SAPPHIRE BLACK!!!!
There must have been a mistake.

Doesn't matter though. It's beautiful!!!!

I honestly had wondered if it really was Graphite Pearl. Seemed really dark compared to the other pics I've seen of that color. Well whatever color it is, I've done my last external mod to it. The tele knobs came in from Stewmac today.

So again, the before . . .

These are very cool. They actually work with split shaft pots, just line up the screw with the split.

I really like it Tony. With that color I think it looks even better than the abalone. Looks like it was supposed to come that way.

Sorry to see you are inclined to sell this great looking Al Tony. Im sure it's for a good reason or purpose.

Speaking of Al mods - I'm thinking of mod-ing one of mine to be more of a pure Strat type. Replacement guard will be used though, I'm not going to tear into a perfectly good all-stock Al guard. Trying to decide what pickups to use though ---- that can be a headache. Fralins, Kinmans, Rio Grand, Kleins, Lawrences, Suhrs, Lollars, etc. etc. etc., plus 7ender, DiMarzio, S Duncan. ]
And then sometimes I wonder if those GFS pups are any good.

Sorry for the buildup and then sudden letdown.

Money issues. It's a great guitar, but I can't justify owning it right now. Happy to make a deal with anyone interested.
