Yes he was, i remember he used the bongo on the show.
I think he used a SR5 before the Bongo.
I didn't know he was with Al Jarreau, great player.

Great clip. Interesting way to play "slap", but I guess he's had to adapt to playing right handed stringing on a left handed bass. The Bongo sounds great as does the playing.

I had a guitar teacher long ago that was a lefty playing a righty guitar - Great player, too.

It always blew my mind when he would keep a pen and tab paper sitting on his left leg, then stop playing and grab the pen with his left hand and start writing....

It happened to be a very convenient thing from a guitar teacher standpoint.

That was some amazing stuff. I just crack up at his left hand working. It almost looks like it is cramping up. Maybe that's my problem playing. I just need to flip it over.

on my Bongo, I see something like that!
