After buying my ALHH a few years back, it made me realize that all my Axis guitar were actually in pretty poor shape! With 1000's of gigs under their belts, and shipping them back and forward across the Atlantic it was time to give them some attention!
Over the course of the last 6 months or so, I have ordered a whole load of parts from Customer Service and given them to Roanoke, VA luthier Alan Feldman for them to be worked on. All of them without exception have come back almost better than new!
Red Axis Hardtail: Swapped the Graphtech saddles for the factory correct block saddles, new volume pot, new volume knob, new nut and fret dress.
Sunburst Axis Hardtail: Swapped the Graphtech saddles for the factory correct block saddles, new volume pot, new volume knob and fret dress.
Purple EVH Hardtail: Swapped the Graphtech saddles for the factory correct block saddles, fret dress
Sparkly Axis Super Sport: Swapped the Graphtech saddles for the factory correct block saddles, new nut and fret dress. Probably the biggest change on this axe was a complete re-wire. Many years ago I ripped out the electronics and put in a 3-way and removed the tone knob. I decided to put it back to stock wiring and its all the better for it! So it has new volume & tone pots and knobs, new 5 way and new tone cap!
To conclude, my Axi are better than ever and ready for the next 20 years of gigging!
