Hey nice one! I used to have 78 Olympic White turned yellowish with lots of weather checking and I miss that white Stingray. There is an used white 93 SR5 at local store and they want $900 for it but I want them to come down to $800 but looking at your photo I may get it but $750 is a sweet deal. Is $900 for nice SR5 with beautiful birdseye neck sound reasonable to you? The neck is straight and plays beautifully.

Very nice! I used to have a '90 white 2-band with maple board - I wonder if that could be my old one. Mine was s/n 30347

Very sharp Ken! Great ebay find!
When do we get to see "Ken's great wall of basses"?

That's a might beautiful 2bander there Ken. And yup, you stole it at that price. What did you think of the sound?

I still haven't been able to find one...a couple close but no cigars.

Thanks guys, I lucked out . . it wasn't listed very long before I found it.

Slim, I would definetly shell out 900 for a nice birdseye SR5.

Todd, no, this is not your old bass, this one is a 31XXX serial.

Don, "Wall of Ray" pics are coming soon ;)

Mike, the 2-band is great, although I find the difference between
it and my other 3-bands to be negligible - I love the tone and simplicity
and I'm sure I'll recognize more differences as I spend some more
time with it - I have yet to use it in a band setting (where I love
having a 3 band).

Pete, sorry I don't have better quality pics but here are some more and
some from the seller where you can sorta see how nice the neck is . .

Hey Moondog!
I did purchase SR5 during my lunch break. I traded in Hartke 115 Transporter cabinet which was just sitting around in my house and they threw in newer MM case and set of slinky for $781.83 plus $66.46 total $848.29:D The sales guy told me it is 1993 model but according to serial # 52477 it should be 1991 model so pickup should be alnico instead of newer model's ceramic. I am still working my day job so I can not take the bass apart to find the birthdate but I will do that on Saturday. I got gig tonight, tomorrow, and I work days also I won't find time till Saturday:( I love my Bongo 4HH but I needed to get 5 stringer and this one is in beautiful shape. I will try to put up photo soon. I am a guitarist and I love my Stratocaster but I am getting obsessed by MusicMan basses now days.
