After 4 months waiting for manufacture and shipping, and a further week to break it out of Istanbul customs, my new, earthshaking Bongo HHP5 is finally in the house! Good God, what a noise! Its carbon blue pearl with a moonstone pickguard, and I would hang it on the wall if the wife would let me. Pictures to follow. To anybody out there wavering over choosing the piezo option, I would say 'go for it'; it gives a definite bite, especially if you boost the upper mids a little. Mind you, the only things stopping me from running everything on full boost are A) I can't afford a new amp right now, and B) this areas susceptibility to earthquakes. Bongo = :D

Thanks for all the kind words, and I'm sorry to dissappoint: I am an Englishman working abroad. The Turks, being a traditional sort of people, are strict followers of StingRays, Ibanez and Fender with the odd top Yamaha thrown in for studio session work. Not that I mind: it just makes the BONGO that much more exclusive. BONGO+time= :D :D :D :D
