I'm planning to get an Ernie Ball volume pedal soon so I was checking out the VP FAQ to see which VP was the one I should get, but there's one thing i can't figure aout: If I have a passive VP to attach it between mi guitar output (which has passive pickups) and an effect pedal input (like distortion), will the result be in a less distorted sound when I lower the volume with the VP? If so, can it be avoided using an active VP to attach it AFTER the distortion pedal to the Amp. input? I would really apreciate if someone can clear it for me, it's a bit urgent because a friend is going tho the U.S. this wednesday (I live in Mexico and its hard to find nice gear here) but he doesn't know anything about musical instruments so I want to make sure he gets the right pedal...
