It is going to be very fun to be playing out with the DD single H Bongo5 and know that there's only a handfull of us out there with 'em!

speaking of that, were the numbers suprising astleast? satisfactory? :D

in all seriousness, thank you BP and Dargin. Great company to be associated with!!!

I'm very glad that I was able to be a member of the exclusive Dargie Delight club (even if Pete is a copycat :p :D ).

I wonder if the numbers were good enough to entertain the idea of the occassional viral Ltd Ed campaign. It would certainly get more retailers to keep an eye on the forum, and maybe even participate. And, it might even be a way to get the "blueburst sparkle grape ray" crowd to put up, or shut up. :D

And, while BP has admirably seemed reticent to tie the CLB Foundation to any retail plan, the idea of an upcharge that goes to the foundation on one of these ultra limited editions would surely surpass any one-off auction on eBay and give more people a chance to do something special. Paradigm shifts, right, Big Poppa?

Of course, it could also have been such a pain in the butt that the response "Kids--NEVER AGAIN" is coming and that's okay, too. :D

My Dargie Delight will be played and loved just like my other two Bongos. I'm even planning on leaving Slinkys on it. :)

It's okay if BP cools off and says "Never again" for a coupla years before breaking down to our clamoring again. We owe him that :)

So, what shall we ask for in 2009?

Even though I had to sit this one out (stashing $$$ for a mythical maple top Petrucci), I think it was really amazing that the Dargie Delight came to fruition.

What a generous offering from BP, Dargin, et al. Surely such a small run isn't cost-effective, especially from a company that was already backordered 4-5 months.

If I could have managed one at this time, I think I would have gone for a Sterling HH.

Thanks go all around .

You guys embraced it, the team and the factory ran with it and it shows that you can still have fun with your pants on (note to Joe and Chuck)

You are right that a small run makes zero sense. I can assure that it wasnt a profit center, except for steve and jack and pete. JK

Lets just play it by ear. It was done to make you guys happy, to have some fun and try to show some of my customers on the sidelines the power in getting involved DIRECTLY with your custoimers.

Heh. I had fun, but who said I was wearing pants?

Oh, right....the judge. :(

Thanks, again, BP/EB/MM/DG/SB/SB/JW/MOUSE!

BP, thanks for the opportunity, it was a blast for me and my bro. That being said, can you ask the production team to crank it up a notch? My inventory of in-stock instruments has been plummeting the past two weeks, I'm practically under my minimum! ;)

Being relatively new here, but a vet of DPI & DPII, I don't really know the whole story behing the DD. I'm just glad I was able to get in on it. December can't come soon enough, snow and all.

A big thanks from across the pond for a bass I can wet that baby's head with (touch rosewood with martini glass inlays all goes well)...

Seriously though it deeps respect in a company with you know your voice is heard....
