It was great! I got the chance to meet Ernie and Pete for the first time as well as seeing OC and Pauly again. JP was amazing as usual and was good enough to sign my Egress. It was a great, great day. This was my 2nd Petrucci clinic. I attended one in Raleigh two years ago. What a great musician and human being.

We had a blast with Ernie, OC and Mike Green, to name a few at Bellers. Seeing Ernie and OC in there lime green Dubaldo music T-shirts was worth the price of admission. Did I mention it was free?

Thanks to Ernie Ball, John Petrucci and Pete Dubaldo for an amazing gift.

Dave it was nice to have meet you and your Egress was awesome.

I'd like to thank Pete, Nick and the Dubaldo's for having us, it was a blast.

Nice to have meet OC and a few others there as well. It was good too see MikeVt and MGreene again from the Open House. I had a blast hanging out and chatting with everyone.

It was my first clinic and it was a blast. John asked me if I learned anything what it was, I said just watching you play up close like that man. He signed my back cover for me.

Pete and Nick, when you have your next clinic I'm there man!!!! It only took me like 1:15 to get home.

Thanx, Glenn |B)

GWD, the feeling is mutual. The ride from NY to Manchester was an easy 2 hours. I'd do it again to pick up an EBMM! :)

I have pics and a new Pearl Redburst JP6 that I took home! WOOT!

Thanks to everyone who made it possible.

John signed my guitar backplate and when I presented it to him he said, "Nice guitar." LOL

Wow, thanks for the compliments guys! We had our share of issues before the clinic began, first off dealing with the fire marshal (therefore the other location), and then one of the amps kept blowing fuses so we did the clinic in mono - JP still had a KILLER tone :)

Hey Lou, how do you like the birdseye on your neck? Frikkin sic :D

Our website designer took tons of pics which should be up in a few days, meanwhile I will transfer a few and post them on this thread.

Maybe, it needs to be a Mesa clinic. No problems at a Mesa-sponsored clinic that I saw, the one in my avatar.

Pete, I had a blast and you gotta let me know when you have another man, that was my first clinic and it was awesome!!! John, was wicked cool and took the time to answer and sign everyones stuff, and I should know MikeVT and I were at the end of the line.

Did JP get to sound check with enough time??

How was the show?? Did he play the new guitar??

Awesome! Wish I could have gone...but alas, got some business to take care of here at home. It's cool to see you guys had a great time and I was more than sure Pete was going to have everything set up.

Pete, even though I did not get there, thanks for getting the clinic for those who were able to attend. You are a class act.

EBMM...thanks for getting the clinic over at Pete's....he deserves it. Great guy and honest dealer.

What amps did JP use? I saw a bunch of pics from the Toronto clinic and it was Dual Rectifiers.

He used a single rack mount dual recto, 90's model in black treadplate with two 4x12 recto cabs. He also used one of his first Petrucci models in PRB with the D-sonic.

And we now know that Al Dimeola doesn't tell JP what gear to use. Inside joke. ;)

HAHAHAHAHA! Dude I was biting my lip so hard trying not to laugh out loud with that dude. That was funny as hell. Great times, glad I could finally put some names to faces etc. And don't knock the lime green shirt...those guys do some awesome work up there.

It's not an issue of it being a Mesa clinic, it's more an issue that people need to take care of their gear, and keep the tubes and chassis in good shape. We had 2 Dual Rectos on loan from area musicians, a rackmount head version and a regular head version. The rackmount worked, the head did not. I'm not going to get into this any more because I will just get worked up about it.

Glenn, thanks for making it down! John was able to get to soundcheck, and he sounded fantastic last night. The new guitar was played on the 5th song I believe, a softer song that James said was from around the Falling Into Infinitiy days. The guitar was STUNNING onstage.

Who's knockin the green Ts ? Seriously though, those Ts definitely let people in attendance know who was working, and who they could ask questions. I got a few compliments on the shirts!

I think Cud was jokin' P...not knocking...frankly dude, I LOVE that shirt....I'mn going to make something sort of a Garden Gnome and take pix of it whereever I go...I told Nock I was going to do that last night...haha.

He used the Proto on "Speak to Me" which was one of the ones that didn't make Falling Into Infinity due to label issues...it looked and sounded sweet.

Sorry to hear about the amp trouble. He also had like a 20-25 minute delay (but only playing) at the WILDWEST clinic because of amp problems...and this with a Mesa rep there.

Not sure how John handled it over there, but at WILDWEST, BP and JP just kinda shot the sh!t and did an impromptu interview and Q&A. Which worked out fine.

The thing so great about clinics IMO is that the guitar playing is only part of it. The stories and the picture taking, autograph session and audience Q&A is really what makes it special.
