Guys
Im sorry about all of this stuff.

I could defend the crap over there but rest assured that after 30+ years in the business I do not try to ruin dealers.

He can frame it anyways he wants but he spent his customers money. I needed to make sure you guys got your stuff and I got paid.

He wants me to give four people free instruments that he has already collected deposits on some in full. Is he giving back their money? Does he get to keep the money for nothing? Has he gotten so used to spending others money that he needs to spend mine?

I wonder if his family knows that the family house is encumbered due to his actions? Way to take care of pops.

I would love to see the dude call jack an asskisser to his face.

Thanks Stanky great rant over there.

BP... I only know a part of the story and I WAS INVOLVED IN IT... all I can say is that the EBMM staff and Jack have been class acts. When my bass was "misdirected" all of my questions from your side of things were answered in minutes - not so on the other side. I am normally very patient and reserved, and I think my handling of the matter reflect that, but Dude has balls spewing his crap.

Thank your staff for looking out for me - they are wonderful!

I haven't felt like commenting on any of this until now...

Sterling, when you put your own ass on the line to try and help your dealers out when you know they are in trouble, that says worlds about you. The fact that the Dargie Delight concept came to fruition is amazing in and of itself. You went above and beyond the clear-cut dealer agreement time and time again to try and help things move along. You can only bend over in front of someone so far before they try to give you a reach-around.

How many guitars/basses have I sold? It's way into the hundreds now.
How many issues have I had with EB regarding payments & shipping out my orders? ZERO.

Point:
The dealer has only their own personal problems to blame for this situation.

I don't want to see anyone lose out on getting their Dargie Delights - it's not fair to them as customers, or EB as the manufacturer, to have someone (let alone a dealer) **** all over the parade like this.

I've got an idea that I'll call Scott about tomorrow......

You're not the first and I don't expect you'll be the last.

"Sinking ship" was the metaphor the board owner himself used. I think we can mostly understand that.

Welcome aboard, n!k. Your name is very hard to pronounce, but welcome nonetheless.

I work for an EBMM dealer and Dan Mac is our guy and we have never had a single problem with EBMM that was not handled straight away with one solitary phone call to Dan or Scott. I hate to see a company like this drug down into this kinda jank.

eh - i was mid post over at the pit and the thread got closed. it was long and awesome

honestly guys... I was clued in by Sterling back in October. he made it clear he was worried and hoped for a better outcome. Also it was a "secret"... Sterling had no intention of badness or public airing of "stuff"

Please, let's put all of this behind us. It's so danged depressing.

I'm getting to the point where it will be over, but there are still things to be taken care of and I think it's fair to point this out:

The Dudepit - View Single Post - Yup...down here asshats!!

There's what we're talking about, right there.

Remember that vision when you think of him. When someday in the future I'm tempted to remember the good old days, I'll have a look at that photo and remember the sentiment attached to it and that will fix me right up.

Allow me to pitch in my 2 Euros on this subject... I'll be copying, pasting and quoting from the Pit, which I'm not very good at, so bear with me if it looks sloppy...

Dude: "You guys have a very short memory. Did I not say that the MM forum would be moved down here with the major brands but not allowed up in the "Sponsored Forums"?? Bunch of gossipy old women..I swear!! "

Last night and earlier today, it seemed noone was invited to the MM party on the Pit. It read "Last Post: NEVER!" and 0's in the spots where the thread count and post counts had been. Thanks for chastising us when you know you've been called out.

Dude: "Sorry Dan, I never really had any beef with you bro. Same with you Beth so I really don't undertsand where all your bile towards me is coming from. I appreciated your talking to me about what was going on with me last year and sharing with me about your brother. Believe it or not you made a dfifference in my situation so thanks."

Steve, I am sure Dan's got better things to do than surf your Pit all day long. He probably got on there just to f*ck with you in a non-confrontational way and also out of curiosity. All of us have been surfing your forum out of curiosity. Notice how everyone slows down in traffic to see if there's any blood? It's normal human curiosity. Why do you think Jerry Springer was so popular for so long?

Bile? What bile? I treat you the same as I do ALL the other drug addicts that have graced my life. I tell them that I'm there to help them, share my experiences, encourage them to quit and then realize that I'm powerless over their addiction. (it's usually then that I "take out the trash" and kick their trashy crap out of my life) I tried to help you as a friend and as a representative of the Ernie Ball/Music Man company. I didn't want to see you trash your life like you have. I also saw that this clusterf*ck with the Dargies and the customers was imminent once you informed me you were financing your drug habit with honest customers' deposits. I was worried about you and I was worried about our customers. Why? Because you (well, the you that I once knew, now you're just a monster) and the customers are my friends. You and I both know that drug (and sex) addicts go through money like water goes through a sieve. The only currency you should ever be trusted with while using is milk and seashells.

I'm glad that the discussions we've had since your drug problem has escalated have helped you some. I want to be supportive of you but when you start blaming everyone but YOURSELF for your drug problems and all the consequent problems thereof, it makes ME want to vomit. Not only that, after calling my friend Jack a snitch and a narc, wasn't it YOU who ratted me out to Sterling about knowing about your drug problem? Talk about an ass-kissing narc!

Dude: "1) You shut me up from calling the Bongos "Toilet Seats".

2) You found a way to pay Jack for moderating your forum and kissing your ass.
"

Really, Steve. Do you think you're so creative that you're the first person who has called our instrument/pickguard shapes "toilet seats"? Part of Bongo's charm is that it unabashedly doesn't give a rat's nose what you say about its looks, its sound will blow that straw right out of your a$$!

If payment for Jack moderating the forum was an issue, I'm sure it would have been brought up well before you came along. As far as ass-kissing goes, refer to my point regarding you narcing me out. Jack's just a nice guy who cares about his friends, not an ass-kisser. Trouble is, like someone else pointed out (was that you, Jack?) you can't tell the difference between being someone's friend and being an ass-kisser. Keeping company with hookers and drug addicts who will do anything to get high, even ratting out your friends and stealing from them, does that to you. It's just sad.

Steve, I really thought that we had turned over a new leaf by opening VBTC as a Music Man dealer. I thought to myself "Either this guy could be the PIONEER or he could blow it". Unfortunately, you blew it. There were too many orders, too many invoices, too many deposits and you couldn't keep track. Someone pointed out in the "Some Explanation" thread last night that you have all this access to computers, you have (or used to have) a pretty sweet website and you can't manage to keep track of simple instrument orders? Your record-keeping skills are right up there with my brain surgery skills. Nil. I'll bet every time you got an order change in by e-mail or telephone you had to move all your drug paraphanelia aside and chicken scratch it on a piece of cardboard. I also seem to remember a thread on the Pit where you had "extra" Dargies for sale. I'm sure the sale went to the highest bidder -- whoever would finance your next butt rocket the quickest and with the deepest pockets.
