That finish is like a nice piece of art, so elegant. How does it sound?

Yes man I have to agree with you there. As for how it sounds, I didn't plug it in when I played it, but I'm sure it sounds excellent coming out of Franks, Mesa Boogie?

Frank, you wanna field this one? Hahahahahahahahaha

Yes! I was afraid we would never see it again. I think Lou said it bought by a non-forumite?! Amazing, amazing guitar. Hope you play the hell out of it!

Guys I have to admit its just awesome. Nice to have a crunch machine again......I do have to get used to the neck and radius. Haven't played one for a while but just like riding a bike. I have it hanging and when I'm on my computer I have to glance over and look at it...........hahaha

Ok, another long winded story:

On November 20 on my way down to my daughters Cheer competition in Hartford Connecticut, I got a phone call from Frank asking me if I had seen the 3 guitars that were being offered @ the JP/BP GC Session in Boston, (Frank and I chat, but I had a meeting and was offline all day). I told him I had and they all looked excellent. We talked about the Black Magic Crystal and we were both curious how sparkley it really was and how sick the neck looked. And we chatted about the Spalter top. I said that if anyone bought one of these that they'd be very lucky as they are all excellent 1 off's (I hope I'm correct and I hope they stay that way). So, Saturday the 21, the day of the Boston Sessions my youngest daughter and I were walking back to pack up the hotel room and my cell rang. It was Frank, "Hey man, I bought that Spalter Top JP!!!". Told him that was excellent and I'm sure he wouldn't be disappointed at all. Then Frank proceeds to tell me that, he got VIP seating to the Boston Sessions and that he told Larry the GC Platnium Room guy to put my and my wifes names on the VIP passes, I was floored to say the least. A little background, I first met Frank at the EBMM Open House in 2005, hung out with him @ Jack's 50th Bday Bash in Dallas and again at the Desert Bash in Coachella.

Ok, back on track. After the GC Session was over and JP was heading down stairs to do some sign of stuff for people, BP pulled all of the KnuckleHeads over to the side, we chatted about Lou's JP until BP had to go join JP for the signing. I got an idea, I called Frank:

"Hey Frank, with your VIP passes, we get to cut to the front of the line, you want me to get JP to sign the guitar for you??" Frank, was all over that and asked to have him sign the back plate. He then asked if JP had played it during the Session, I said no unfortunately, Frank a bit bummed out, but understood. I said I know man, I'll ask JP to play it for you, Frank was like you will, I'm like sure man.

So, we headed down stairs, I asked Larry where Franks guitar was and he showed it to me, this thing is AWESOME!!!!

Then my wife Wendy reminds me of the story she told @ the Desert Bash about me opening up her Black and Red Axis and playing it before she did, I never understood and still don't, but it's cool. So I thought, hey Frank, not only was I the first to play your guitar man . . . . . . .

I LICKED IT TOO MAN!!!!!!!!!!!

dscf2959.jpg

Hahahahahahaha, little inside joke when he called me to say he bought the guitar, he asked if I'd check it out, I said sure man, I'll even lick it for you, hahahahahahahaha.

So here are the pictures of JP signing and a video of him playing it.
