UPS brought my BFR JP7 today and its nothing short of amazing. Hands down the nicest finish I've ever seen on a JP. It plays like butter and sounds amazing, especially with the new pickups! Huge thanks go out to Beaver, Grasshopper, Mike, Dan and the guys at Bass Central. Hands down the nicest guys I've ever dealt with and they did me a whole bunch of favors to boot.

I was originally getting a BFR JP Tobaccoburst with the RW neck from them, but after I saw the Dargie II's coming out, I asked Beaver if I could change my order. He graciously let me and on top of that, I was telling him that I wanted both the 6 & 7 BFR's but wasn't sure if I could swing them both financially. Beaver on good faith, ordered me the 6 and is giving me ample time to pay it off. For anyone on the fence about ordering from them, I can't recommend these guys enough. Anyway, here are some pics of the guitar. These are from my iPhone, but more to come when I find my digital camera.

Just gorgeous!

I love the third pick, with the colour shifting from that beautiful deep green around the neck on the body of the guitar and then the caramal colour changing as you go down over the arm scoop.

Haha. Thanks Spud! It needed a minor action tweak. Wasn't low enough for me.

Must...get...action...to...1/32...on...treble...side.

I'm the same way, the Stewart Mac tools are out before I ever play a new guitar. I love their radius gauges for setting saddle height, much faster than measuring each individual string height.

Oh, and the guitar looks great.
