The Green Reflex

So I remember seeing a lovely green Reflex on a thread last year about the Dallas Guitar Festival. Sure enough I found it again here but since I didn't want to necro that thread, I decided to ask here.
Is there any chance that we will see another one of these being made, possibly as a BFR model or the like? I mean it's such a lovely color (and a really underrated one at that) and who are we kidding? There should definitely be more of those

I assumed the fact that it is a special addition could qualify it. I mean you can't really add anything as it already contains a mahogany tone block. Maybe removing the tone block could make it a BFR but thats more counterproductive than anything
Well, I'm just throwing idea out there. Ignore the blatantly stupid ones, I'm tired! But really, its that green quilt top that I love above anything else.

Browndog that is just wrong..No need to torture the guy! BP has said that the Reflex has been having a tuff go. It is sad because the guitar rocks. Although I bet some more people would be into it if they could get it in those beautiful transparent colors but it would probably be a risk to release more options since it isn't doing well.

I am going to be a bit critical but I think the Reflex would of done much better with those insane trans finishes and tops. They seem like totally different guitars with the figured tops, and a bit boring in Black, White, Gold, and Sunburst. I doubt that it is on the endangered species list as they are the model that will introduce the GC. But maybe a boost of trans finishes for winter NAMM could give them a much needed shot in the arm.

Yeah I absolutely agree with what you are saying about the tops. Although I would have no objection to a white Reflex with a maple neck. I mean I'm a rosewood/ebony fretboard guy but damn its just yummy

I honestly don't understand why the Reflex is having a tough go. Its an incredible guitar in its own right. I would take it any day over those "classics" such as the LP or the strat. Few guitars can compare to it.

My vote is for a carved top trans finish(cherry burst)reflex gamechanger! Heck let's throw some stainless Steel frets on it while we are dreaming!

+1 on the trans colored tops. I love trans tops and think the ones that do exist look fantastic. I'd buy a trans blue Reflex in a heartbeat.

Those two tops are amazing! But the Pickup holders take away from it! Just screw em to the wood like all the rest.

Yeah I agree. I quite dislike pickup holders, they should just mount em in the body. The guitar plays so much nicer too imo as I tend to rest my right hand pinky on the body while playing and holders just get in my way.

Personally, I love the pickup rings! I think they are classy, they do the job well and they add something to the look the separates the Reflex from being a slightly oversized ASS.

(...and that's a phrase you won't hear everyday...)

Agreed, smaller dots look sexier. Well at least it seems like that to me. My JP7 isn't fully loaded so it has dot inlays and the small dots look really nice. Nothing beat the shield though but thats a different topic altogether

I see what you mean Dr Kev. I guess when I see a quilted Gibs LP with the pickup rings I wouldn't think twice about it and love it. Maybe if the Reflex rings were a complete rectangle (no outset screw holes) it would seem better. Maybe one could develop a snap in ring to avoid the screw hole outsets? Still a beautiful instrument though. I shall now look into a reflex and see how those tone chambers sound.

The tough go may be that if feels completely different than other EBMM guitars. I have the 25th and to me the added length is tough to get use to.
