It arrived, but your camera quit working, so even though it LOOKS like it's there, it isn't REALLY there.

Right?

no doug, close but no cigar...

Ig've got this email instead...

Fran,
You will get this for your birthday....special delivery by UPS and it left the USA yesterday...
I'm on holiday next week but my colleague ........ will ensure it gets sent to the Bass Gallery as soon as it arrives here.

Happy Birthday

There's a beautiful light weight trans red SR5 in one of the local stores. It looks great! It's a little dirty (maple neck), has dead strings and needs a setup badly, but it's a real gem. Since I already have three, I have to restrain myself.

The BA5SSS has arrived at S&T but...

I can't get it until early next week as I am on duty all weekend on this merchant ship!!! grrr

Looking forward to the pics next week GW

Remember GW you will be in a daze from the after effects of GAS while you collect this bass - when I collected mine on Tuesday I went with my son to Mcd's for lunch straight after - then drove 80 miles home to find I'd left my jacket and house keys at Mcd's - luckily they'd looked after it but I did have to drive another 160 mile round trip to get it - so BEWARE after you've opened that case and got your first look at the BA5SSS :p

Good tip, and thanks, hopefully the mrs will come with me, she has an uncanny attention to details.

Peace! yes we love MM basses. I've got one coming in t-minus 52 hours. keeps me awake at night.

thats brutal man. i hate the wait game. besides the obvious hh vs sss config and the tone block diff, how tonally different are the big a's from the reflex? bigtime diff and need both or similar? very excited for u man. hope the downtime passes quickly!

It's here at last, sorry but I am having to fly back to work, box still unopened and at home, no time for pics or even a quick play. I will do it all tomorrow. At least is here and safely indoors.

over and out for now

That's because all of us who have ordered a bass know EXACTLY what you're going through.

This bass has been imaginery for a very long time...................I reckon the knuckleheads following this post are feeling nearly as much agony as the Grand Wazoo himself is..........careful with that ship Fran :D :D :D

I'm looking forward to the pics - and expect nothing less than the bass to be shown modelled with a nice person :p

I am so excited about tomorrow... I am day dreaming about that nice red Big Al 5 sitting at home in that box... few more hours until the morning, then I'll go home open it, try it and then catch up with some sleep... I am also sooooo tired of these long night shifts. At the same time I am high as a kite on adrenaline! :D
