I heard a rumour that Jack used to live in Mississippi?

I think I'd like Jack too...just haven't had a chance to meet him yet. He won't try to kiss me will he?

Jack helped me out most graciously when I was first looking into EBMM products, A LONG time ago...and after reading his posts here, seems like a great guy to do shots with. Hoping our paths will cross one day.

Although I've never met him in person, I first crossed paths with him on another board, where with his help, I bought my first MM..a fretless 30th. I eventually followed him over here and have bought another MM SR since then. It was reading his posts that perked my interest in MM's in the first place.

I'm just curious to find out how many MM basses he has sold through his posts. A lot of people were squeemish about the Bongo bass when they first came out. I think though his posts that he convinced a lot of people to give them a try.

Just think what would have happened if he prefered Warwicks?

I want to respond to a few things before I close this down out of sheer embarrassment.

Jack is my hero

Ho! Thanks, buddy, but in your business, you have much better choices.

He is one of the most respected people on the board!

That probably says something about the people on the board.....

He even let me touch his Logan Green Bongo & yes, he does have eyebrows

I do have eyebrows, and they constantly threaten to steal real estate from my forehead. Also, I figure the Flaming Bongo is a national treasure, and anyone who comes over is more than welcome to play it.

Jack is the kind of man you'd want for a next door neighbor

Unless you really are my next door neighbor, in which case you might think, 'Jack is the kind of guy that you hope his house sells the first day it's on the market'.

fair to middlin' bass player

I tell you, Jimbo, that is about all I've ever hoped for - really. I'll take that as a compliment any old day!

Thats what the Dude said

Heh heh. Of all the things I might do in this life, kissing that guy was never one. I did, however, kiss YOU on the head, so there.

Jack is my coolest imaginary friend.

If I'm imaginary, where did you get that Envy Green Bongo?

You make me feel like I'm the scarecrow and you're Dorothy and the balloon is taking off. I mean it. Plus, as far as being me goes, it's full-time work, baby.

You thought I didn't have ulterior motives?

i definitely got the better end of the deal in the jackie - tiff friendship

You'd never get me to agree with that, Tiffs. Me love you long time.

And I for you. I wish you nothing but the best in this life - you deserve it - and I thank you for everything.

I was happy to have a "Holy Grail" type of mission. I believed in the bass, and I still do. Wasn't that fun (sort of) in the early days of the Bongo?

Jack is the man who introduced me to the EBMM Bongo and made me love it.

Nope, I might have introduced you to it, but you loved it for the same reasons I did - it kills. Thanks, Alvaro!

To those I have met, what an honor it's been. To those I haven't yet met, let's not let too much time go by before we do.

Thanks for the kind words - really. I needed them!

Jack

I've done more cool things in my life than I would ever have imagined as a direct result of knowing you, my friend. I love you.

NOW you can close the thread, Mr. Popular.
