I have the loaded JP in Red Pearl Burst and love it. I was originally planning on the Dave Murray strat if you can believe that. One of the guys at the store that I know showed me the JP when it came in and that was that. Finally got around to recording it in stereo... Sweet :) I'm not a DT fan so my decision has nothing to do with the artist. Planning on a JPX in the future.

As for Joe B. I'm not one for mindless bashing but the stifling atmosphere of political correctness starts to get to more and more these days. It's not like he was deriding him with vitriolic posts or comments. Everybody doesn't have to like everybody and should have to pretend they do. It was a personal observation about his playing.. no more.

Moreover, I promise you that in 50 years time, a '59 Les Paul wil still be a greater icon than the JP. Eske

So will the stone wheel. There is no comparing. In 50 years though we will

know this. The LP was a hit or miss, You either got a great one or a dog.

Icon = Cash...So start saving... The JP= Consistant, made by a company

that cares about making Guitars. Without naming other Guitar companies,

I'll put my money on MM. Of course there are others. The argument is kind

of Endless. I hate getting sucked into it though. You can have and hang

your Icon on the wall. Make sure all the parts are original before you fork

over your hard earned money. While your doing that, I'll be playing my

Icon with the JP shield on the first fret. Maybe sometime we could jam

together, I'll go get a coffee while your trying to tune up that thing :)

A Model T ford is a classic......my Renault Espace is a development of it I guess. I know which one I would have preferred to drive 420 miles in last Friday
I would suggest that all post 50s guitars have been the product of evolution rather than revolution.....nothing wrong with that at all........who wants to fly the Atlantic in the Wright Brothers' plane??
