Yeah, man. Give it some time. EB guitars definitely FEEL different than other brands, and generally it is a feeling you will grow to love. We hope. I have a Fender as well, and it does feel alot different and it's supposed to.

Keep jammin on your Axis and see what happens. :)

Yeah that left handed thing must be rough. It seems like 95% of the guitars at your typical stores are righty. Maybe Ned Flanders should open a left handed guitar store.

My daughter is taking guitar lessons right now. She is a lefty, but I told her to try to learn how to play right handed. I told her if it feels natural holding the guitar righty, just learn that way, it would be easier in the long run. I think she is getting the hang of it ok.

it is rough being a lefty, no doubt, there are a few "positives" however..

  • not many people are left handed so when some drunk at a party says 'hey man, can i play yer guitar?' ohhhh so sorry, it's left handed.
  • i have bad g.a.s and if i were a righty, i would buy a new guitar every week and be divorced.
  • the resale on left handed guitars is good because they re much more rare.
  • EBMM makes great left handed guitars (2007 blue dawn Luke) hells yes.
  • referring number 2 on this...I had my guitars loonnng before I had my wife, she can learn to live with disappointment. : )

Mike.

I'm a bit confused. You don't say where you bought your guitar, but from your location and the Guitar description it is probably it was from Gutairs4you, if so they almost always have lefty EBMM guitarts in stock so I'm not sure why you wouldn't have had chance to try the guitar (or one very similar).

If you didn't get it from Guitars4you I suggest you check them out and see what deal they will give you, If you have only had this few weeks I would have thought he would offer you a decent trade back price?

No reason to say where I bought the guitar, I made the decision. The guitar wasn't mis-sold or forced on me. A spur of the moment buy based on the guitars good looks, not the best way to buy a guitar you want to be comfortable with I now know.

My only dissapointment with the dealer was an apparent lack of interest after I bought the guitar. Although I now appreciate all the taxes and problems involved, taking a 50% loss semed very steep.

Yes, I plan to sell. One dealer currently looking out for me.

As I said before, nothing against the guitar, just can't get comfortable with it.
