One of the greatest gigs I've ever been to was Gary Moore at Hammersmith Odeon back in 1985.

Gary was fantastic on his own, but was joined for three songs at the end by Phil Lynott which lifted it to another level. I think this may even have been Phil's last live appearance as he died fairly soon afterwards?

It was an amazing night. I bumped into Lemmy, Dave Murray and Bruce Dickinson at various points in and around the venue (in fact Bruce asked us for a lift home afterwards).

Gary was one of those few people that had character so built into his fingers that you could hear just one note and still know it was him, whichever guitar he was playing.

Very sad loss.

Brilliant playing!...You did the great man justice..I still have never heard a guitarist get so much tone from his fingers,as Gary did..He is sadly missed
He came into our shop 5 years ago,signed a guitar,asked for a practice amp,blew us all away with his warm up,and got free tickets to see him that night..Lovely man
