I gotta say, after diving right in all the way in one fell swoop just a couple of weeks ago, not only do I truly believe that EBMM makes THE finest guitars , but the Majesty is the best guitar in production man. Now that's not biased cuz I bought one, it's cuz EBMM was so good that I took a huge gamble in buying one without playing it, but best chance I've ever taken

Now , I been looking all over for the USB for the game changer, and I don't see it NOWHERE. How do you adjust the GC?

The Majesty doesn't have a USB port, it doesn't feature full Gamechanger tech. Just the switching system is in place AFAIK.

If it had the Gamechanger I wouldn't hesitate to get it haha.

Thanks

I checked and I think you're right

That's TERRIBLY disappointing considering all the features

Really tho?

Like wtf was EBMM thinking making the finest guitar ever, and then half assing the GC

Like what the hell is faster pup switch lol it's electric hardware

Hope they upgrade or fix this

You're not alone, bro. That was my initial reaction; I even did a video comparison of the switching versus the JP13 that doesn't have the GC - and they're virtually indistinguishable in speed of switching. The Maj's switches are physically quieter, but that doesn't have anything to do with the GC tech (I don't think...).

Anyway, yea - it's THE greatest guitar I've ever played, touched, seen held, slept with, licked, smelled, oiled up, rubbed down... but the lack of full-functionality in the GC tech was my only disappointment :(

Don't worry, you'll get over it and enjoy the greatest guitar ever :)

Well, this is a signature guitar, so the functionality is what JP wants. Who knows what he'll want or what they'll do down the line.

If you're really that disappointed, I'm sure you can find plenty of guys to take it off your hands ...

Guys relax. EB couldn't give you all the bells and whistles initially, but word has it that before the end of the year JP and EB will announce that the electronics already inside the Majesty are actually flux capacitors that will enable the few to be time travelers. So I'm saving my quarters but by God I will have a Majesty!

I think JP is the only one who can notice the difference between 30 ms switch speed and 2 ms. He was probably tired of waiting for the thing to change pickups, thinking to himself " I could've played through 2 modes already damnit!" :D

I think I saw a video of EBMM at NAMM saying the Majesty has the GC technology and explains how it unlocks the tonal capabilities of the guitar through an iphone app? I would search for the video but I'm at work :p

Well, the funny thing is that if the Majesty had normal switches no one would care, but now where they used a different technique - which just happens to have a 1000 other possibilities - everyone goes crazy because they can't have the other possibilities.

The beautiful thing about EBMM making tools for the artist is, that the artist actually uses the gear they designed, and the same gear that is available to the public. You don't see that a lot of other places.

Since I am "that" guy, I'll feel free to say it: Why put such an incredible technology in a guitar and then purposefully neuter it? It should, perhaps, from the beginning have been advertized as a "lightning-fast software switching system" rather than getting all of our hopes up touting it as coming with the "Game Changer" tech (which, for all any of us knew, was full-fleged and fully functional) in our new $3K guitars, then when we get them only realize it's just for the "switching" which the average consumer doesn't give two hoots about a few milliseconds (again, practically indistinguishable from non-GC-equipped JPs).

But it's okay - I still have confidence that EBMM will come around and find a way to implement the full capabilities into the Maj

I would have bought the guitar without ANY of the Game Changer stuff because of the way the guitar feels and plays. My greatest apprehension was getting a guitar that was subject to possible 'computer' problems. But I have back ups. I must admit I was a little perplexed at hearing 'game changer' bandied about then finding out it was something else. But I am happy. I play the guitar, not effects.
