Hello all,

For whomever is in the neighberhood on May 21st, I am planning a MusicMan Get ToGether meeting at a local befriended music store in Breda, The Netherlands.

I am currently at 20 persons, bringing 14 StingRay's (from 1978 to 2011), 3 Bongo's, 2 Sabre's (very interested in those!) and 3 OLP's.

Mods, if this is inappropriate, please delete this post. I am sure there aren't many Dutch (or Belgian) MusicMan posters here (compared to the domestic ones), but if anyone is interested, let me know! I purposely don't mention the store's name, since they are no direct MusicMan affiliate.. (yet).

Breda is 'only' 170 kilometers away from Menen.. (that's a huge distance for European standards..).

But you are welcome to organize something yourself, I decided to go with Breda, since it's closeby for me..

Maybe I can come and bring my SUB... ;-) I'm not sure yet how my agenda will look around that date however, so it's "onder voorbehoud".

Basses only?

(and as for the venue, I'm guessing:

On the venue, it will actually be Dijkmans in Breda, not Sol.. I know Jan-Willem of Dijkmans, and he is a MusicMan knucklehead as well.. And he has the space for a meeting, which would be difficult at Sol..

And @TNT, Breda is only 10.000 kilometers (estimate), which is only 6,200 miles..

For everybody who wasn't there, it was great fun! I hadn't organized a get-together before, but it was soo easy.. In the end, we spent the afternoon at Dykmans, a local music store, who provided some amplifiers to test with, and we made a nice corner, next to the listening booths, so everybody could test the differences..

I am sorry, but I didn't manage to get all basses together in one picture, that would have been great.. I only made four pictures, as the rest of the time I was drowling and playing over a 30th anniversary, who unexpectedly showed up..

In the end, the basses that were gathered were:
6 * MusicMan Stingray4 (from '78 to '11, including a 30th Anniversary and a Dargie Delight)
2 * MusicMan Stingray5
3 * MusicMan Bongo (incl. Fretless HHP)
A bunch of Olp (one heavily modified..)
And for some reason a G&L Asat turned up, but I was reluctant to send it away..

I can advice everyone to start organizing, as there are soo many differences between Musicmans, and everyone playing one is a great person to meet!
