Well folks, I would like to now say hello. I am new to this forum and I finally got my Dargie Delight II JP6. Brand new and it arrived Friday the 28th of May. I am just getting to know her and it has been a lot of fun. I have some pics to share and I thought I would add on to this thread a little.

First let me say that I think I found one of the last Dargie Delight II 6 left in the country. It was sitting there at Pete DuBaldo's place and I happened upon it after I started looking at EBMM guitars as something to try. I had watched the JP model's for years seeing if I wanted to get one, not looking for a few years and then coming back. It is just about a week ago I first realized that Dargies had been released. I didn;t even know there had been a first run of them with the martini glasses and the olive green color. So when i saw the II's and their iridescent color and that incredible ebony neck, against that green, I finally decided I had to have one. It has far exceeded my expectations. I had always dreamed of a very thin neck but got used to the idea that they came about as thin as the 62 reissues from Fender. I also got into PRS guitars in a big way and I am still a huge fan. But this EBMM will be my new main axe. The neck has breathed new life into me as a guitar player and what might now be possible in terms of improving and advancing my playing skills.

I was very lucky to find this green angel and I will never get rid of her.

Here are my pics to share. Thanks in advance for checking them out.

Cheers.

Jim

So, you're the lucky one who got that DDII. I was seriously looking at picking it up and then one day it's gone! Congrats, man!

Thanks Pete, lifeson1, browndog for the warm welcome. Colin and joe-web, nice axes! I love the live shot. I can't wait to get mine into some action.

Yup, lifeson1, I am the one who got the DDII at Dubaldo's. I couldn't believe it was there! I looked everywhere, holding out a slim hope I could find a new one. Pete is really great to work with and his people are extremely nice and professional. I called to buy the guitar and Pete had gone to the other store but his guy on the phone already new all the details. I asked some questions first and Pete and his people were all really great in answering them as well. This is without a doubt the best guitar I have ever owned and played. And I have a couple of top of the line guitars (some may not agree, but oh well). Especially my PRS Custom 24. I have not played it for awhile now and I know after the playing my Dargie that the neck on the PRS will feel like a baseball bat now!

Well, back to work. Thanks again gang!

Best regards,

Jim

Jim,
Welcome to the brood, once you've gone EBMM you tend to never go back. . . or if you do, you keep coming back. . . .kind of like the Hotel California, checking out but never leaving (lol). Maybe not! Okay, I'm officially going on a Ball Hunger Strike until a new Dargie series comes out. . . JPX style, baby! Who else is on board? Ok, not that many - I get it! Probably won't last, either. . . . Great nab there again, Jim. Look forward to seeing it in action. . .

Always on board for a new Dargie series, as long as the base color stays Green:D
