This is a really good thread!

Thank you. I thought it was a good idea. Here is a couple of more pics of the Classic's I owned but brought back to G.C. because of weight issues. They were all awesome basses! My neck and shoulder just could not handle them.

I went to the Post Office today to get exact weights on my 2 Classic's because my scale tends to be off a little. So I found out the natural 4 string weighs 8 pounds 14 ounces and the black 5 string weighs 9 pounds 13 ounces. So they are a little heavier than I first thought but still real light for classic's. Playing the natural 4 string is really nice. Lightweight and very easy on the neck and shoulder. The black on isn't bad. A little girth but managable. They both balance very nice. And they both pound sound wise.

I lucked out on my Classics too. The 4 weighs 8.5# while the 5 comes in just a hair shy of 10#. Oddly enough my Big Al 4 weighs almost the same as my 5.
