I was out doing a department walk at the Marietta GC last week to see how there guitar department was ran so I could get some ideas and make my department in ATL better and guess what i found hanging on the wall....... mint green Classic SR4 maple FB WITH A SATIN NECK!!!! (I prefer the satin neck vs the gloss) after a quick call in the EB headquarters I was told that this was a rare bird, so.... i couldn't pass it up. The bass should be n my possession on Tues and pics will follow.

I'm very excited! The bass played, looked and sounded great!!

I haven't noticed any Sterling Classics (4 or 5) in this or other threads. Have they made any yet, other than the original few for NAMM?

Oh, they have and they are incredible! The pics don't do the figuring on the neck justice. It plays every bit as good as it looks.

Enjoy,

Brandt...I played your bass (and my brother played your bass) in Marietta over the 4th of July weekend. I almost left with it but my wife didn't give me the OK to lay down the mulah!

Glad you've got it...that is a smokin' bass!

I just found out my Classic was shipped to Bass Central on Tuesday. I'm guessing I should have it within two weeks. I can't wait to see and play this thing!

I think they made a short run of them in natural. I have only seen 2 so far. One in a picture and mine. I would interested to see if anyone else another natural classic.

I've got two coming in...one mint green w/ maple board and one early run sold at GC...black with satin finished neck. :D I'm super excited and I will post pics tomorrow when I go and pick the black one up! Let's see how they compare to my BFR Sterling.
