i know a few players that have found their number one axe... and they don't plan to buy or use another one... it's all they need for all their playing needs...

i've been try to get to that happy place for years... can't seem to do it.... but i sometimes like/need, p90's, humbuckers, single coils, so i have quite a few guitars and back ups for my back ups for the the main ones now... so i've reached a point where i need to downsize... but while i down size i plan to upgrade the quality of my collection and more MM's will be a part of that...

2 models for humbucking tones i have my eyes on big time are the dual humbucker Lee and the Y2D... but i can't afford both... any opinions? oddly i'm looking at the Lees with a trem and the Y2K hardtail...

it's never over :)

I can stick to one guitar only, problem now is that I'm spoiled with all my EBMM and not ready to choose one among them. Of course if I have to, I will do it but as long as I can keep them I'm happy.

Sometime you start playing one and can't get anything right from that guitar you pickup another one with different wood and pickup and that's it you have the sound and inspiration.

As I said I'm spoiled and I feel bless having the luxury to do it

The most versatile guitar I've played is the 25th/Reflex. If versatility is the goal, I imagine that would have you covered, subject to a game changer, of course.

70% of my playing is bridge humbucker tones.... but i use strat and tele type tones too for some things... hard to be a fan of The Who without access to P90's in the "axe rack"... the Lee model with 3 P90's is insanely good... saw Albert do a MM clinic and when he switched from his standard model to the P90 model he borrowed from the store his tone went from great to insanely amazing... even Albert was stunned by it...

sometimes i find guitars that claim to cover more tones come up short... so the Game Changer i just have to try... not sure where i'll find one in stock to try around Toronto...

I'd have to say from my experience and what I own I'd have to agree that its the 25th for me too! I am fortunate to have some very nice MM guitars and 3 Mesa amps, to my ears my most favorite tones come from the 25th & Luke into my Lonestar Classic.

Like you - I love the tones from all those pick-ups - and as a result have good collection of LP, Grestch, Fender, parts-guitars etc.....and my Morse covers a large number of them live.....if your needing versatility I'd vote on one of the SM models.

I'm rather fond of my 20th Silhouette.

I'm also rather fond of BP's Rosewood 20th, but he keeps ignoring my (SEND IT TO ME BP) subtle hints....

I have found THE ONE but only because my bank account demanded. That said, I haven't found anything I can't play on my Silhouette, except when my fingers can't keep up with the music (which is most of the time actually :eek: )

Its tough. I love my silo spec so much. It covers all my true single coil needs, but to be honest I hardly ever play any dirt through it. Some overdriven tones but never medium gain and above.

My 25th on the other hand plays everything.
