The Pino Palladino appreciation thread.

Oh yeah, i heard he'd been playing one of those. What the hell has he gone to playing one of those for, ive tried one and they are crap. Nasty, cheap sounding things, horrible controls and neck too, in fact i played one of those before i played the Stingray i ended up buying, errr.

Must we lower the standard of the thread by criticising the basses that Pino plays. He is a thorough professional and I respect his choice to play whatever he plays be it Stingray, Precision, or Jaguar. Supporting EBMM products does not mean that we have to rubbish the others.Thank goodness we're not all the same.

Look, i support loads of other makes of guitar, i own Music Man, Ibanez, Fender, Yamaha and a few others. I judge by quality not by a name. If i think they are crap, i say so. Why lie or sugar coat it?

Anyway. Found this clip of the Who, with Townsend introducing the band.

Found Pino at the Queens golden jubilee concert.
Eric sounds in fine form, on vocals and guitar and even though you dont see him much, Pino holds the low end down as well as ive heard anyone do it on this song, enjoy.

Found of Paul Young, the sync is out but Pino sounds amazing on that fretless Stingray, love the harmonics.
