First off, as a female guitar player I get sick to death of the gender stuff. I think the guitar that EBMM and Annie created is not only stunning looking, it offers some really smart features as well. I want one not because of some misconception that it's a 'girls guitar,' but because it's a fresh unique design that I think will be a valuable tool for my music. And congrats to EBMM and Annie for stepping outside the box and keeping guitar interesting.

No, but Annies introductory Instagram kinda did it for them.....

It is with pride that I present the St. Vincent Signature @ernieball MusicMan Guitar. I wanted to design a tool that would be ergonomic*, lightweight, and sleek. So excited to be working with Ernie Ball. *There is room for a breast^ ^Or two

I love the guitar and I think its really healthy that it gets people talking about intelligent design.

Umm... maybe a shout out to all of us middle aged man boobers!

The press is the press...haters gonna hate...whatever you want to call it, people's response is a reflection of themselves, not a reflection of the instrument. With no knowledge of Annie/St. Vincent, I saw the guitar and looked at the design specs and thought 'Wow, that's new. Given my back problems that might be a useful option in the future.' Then I saw all the press pieces and just shook my head. Like BP said, I guess all press is good press.

I guess it's entirely predictable that some of the press/media went along with the 'girl's guitar' angle but even so it has certainly generated lots of internet chatter, most of which if not all has been entirely positive so at the end of the day it has turned out to be a good thing. I don't remember any other new guitar creating such a stir, certainly not in the last ten years or so. I hope it generates lots of sales and raises EBMM profile in general.

I love the design and spec of the St Vincent, in fact I've already put an order in for mine, possibly the first one in the UK. I'm really excited and can't wait to get it. I hate to admit it but I've never even heard any St Vincent music, I just really like the design and wasn't swayed one way or another by the back story.

I personally love this guitar and will own one in the near future. It's so retro modern it's amazing. I have a John Petrucci guitar and play country and reggae on it! This is my first post but I can honestly say with many years playing bass as well as guitar that there is no other company that can compare to EBMM.

This story is showing up all over my news feed. Personally, gender slant or not, I smile a bit every time EBMM gets this level of press and attention.
