I'm a relative newcomer to this forum and I've been lurking for a while but since I just received my first Bongo the other day - a new-old stock Buttercream Bongo 5 HS - I thought I'd post a picture of it that shows the real colour of buttercream.
Before I received the guitar I searched the web for photos of Buttercream EBMM basses but I found most of them didn't really show the colour that accurately.
To help with the colour reference I photographed the guitar on top of a white towel and put a dish of butter next to the guitar.
It was still really hard to show the details in that dark brown tort pickguard but the colour of the paint is pretty accurate.
I hope this is useful to those who are looking.
