we wanted to a year ago BUT the distributor didn't want to give us the line because another store(1/2hr in good traffic away, also in the major pop. center for the west of Canada=many people in the area) anywho, this other store just got the line before us and got exclusivity for the area!??!!??! sooo...... ofcourse the promo of the amp hasn't been the best by them so just recently the rep. asked if we wanted the line but we had just got ashdown and Ampeg along with Genz soooo..... frustrating.........

I looked at the Markbass gear as a consumer. I ended up buying an Eden rig - WT550/D212XLT. Based on my research, Eden was my choice. Nothing wrong with Markbass ... however I can't say I like the cosmetics.

I owned a 4 Pro but ended up ditching it for my ABM. For all the wattage that the 4 pro claims, it was surprisingly tame unless you biamped it. Nice big rock sound when cranked though. Hope the 4 pro gives you everything you need.

ya, the 4 Pro does seem like a quiet amp compared to the wattage that it is. An 800RB is almost peceivably(sp?) louder BUT when you really asess the sound coming out of the 4 Pro, it's nuts! Really rich lows and full spectrum response and when you're chuggin' along and dip down low it doesn't lag or fart or anything it's like going up a steep hill pullin' a trailer with a big ol' Cummins turbo diesel :D

but yes, the ABM500 EVOII was almost the amp I bought.... and still does haunt me :p

I don't have any beef with Markbass but Eden is certainly good stuff.
