The "The Construction Site Next Door Screwed Up The Connectivity of EB Forums" thread

Hey Y'all!

Some poor, sorry soul next door at the construction site here in Coachella hit a box with a bunch of wires in it this afternoon. In doing so, they effectively cut off EB/MM from all electronic communication - phone, internet, e-mail, fax, everything. The fun thing is finding things to do that don't need technology, lol!

Will this post? Let's see...

I haven't been able to get on for a while.
I thought it was just maintenance, or maybe the implementation of the new website!

Typical jobsite conversation...

"Hey, where're those telephone and fiber cables at?"

"I don't know. Get on the backhoe and dig around a bit"

"THERE they are!!! Look at all the pretty colors"

"Just shove 'em back in the hole. They'll be fine"

I guess one of our connections is back up. That's making me feel a little better. It's one thing when things break at the end of the day, it's another thing going into to work the next day knowing nothing is working and you can't do anything about it.

Well, the good thing is, I can still find plenty to do without phone/internet/email/fax -- wait, is that really a good thing?

I thought it was just a secret way of telling me it was time to go to bed!!!

I spend half of my life on construction sites. Nothing surprises me anymore....

Maybe the sign should have said 'Pour water here'. Then he would have poured it somewhere else. Sorta like if you want a shipment tortured, write 'Fragile' on it? :p
