Yeah, I make jokes, but it's just because in really exited to see new guitars.

Any chance that the jpx12 is silver burst with black hardware and ss frets/ebony board? Just saw DT at beacon theater they totally rocked, unfortunatly I didnt see any"new"guitars, but thought maybe the silver burst could be the new addition, was the one off chrome hardware? I'm prety sure this I've had black...it was sweet looking

guys here is the problem with disclosure in the process....Everytime we have done it ....it has gotten really ugly....It is impossible for passionate fans to just enjoy the ride. The attacks we got on the first BFR were astounding....I would show more but it just isnt worth the noise...

It is like playing people rough mixes.....you tell them it is a rough mix and then they critique it as a finished product....or you play them the rough and then they hear the final mix and they liked the rough better....the creative process is a very special and delicate process and internet wildfires only stunt the process....

Just giving you the perspective here.....

We all understand!
An idea to circumvent that would perhaps be to make a thread with whatever material you feel you want to share, stick it, and lock it. That way no one can actually comment it, they'll just be able to view it :)

I like that Idea. A thread you could post Proto's or other new stuff would be really cool, as I always enjoy, seeing things being developed and refined until its perfect.

When you're ready BP, I'll be happy to take a look at the sneak peek. I totally appreciate it.

a buddy of mine and his wife are in the studio and i've heard all of the rough cuts (only because he trusts my opinion on tone not contect of the song or editing) it really helps with the flow if you have some feedback but it has to be extremely limited and i think you're doing 100% correct BP... you and JP and those at the shop work it out and get the stallion as close to final and then show... it'll be awesome i'm sure.

the other issue with posting and locking a thread so its view only.. is whats to stop the knuckleheads from opening a new thread and referencing the "new gear" BP is right.

but that being said .. "are we there yet" ? j/k

Lets speculate more!

JP "Stallion" will have about 50 lbs of lead weight in the chamber so he can work out his calves, forearms, biceps, and trapezius muscles at the same time he plays LOL

Exactly. I am working on some mixes for my band's upcoming EP. I made the mistake of showing someone who is totally ignorant to the world of recording and all of the comments I got were about the song itself, and a few generic comments about the "sound quality."

I shall eagerly await the Stallion.
As of right now, it sounds like it will be the first EBMM I actually purchase brand new.

I totaly understand BP about the ''reaction things''. I can't wait to see more of both guitar. I asked JP in the M&G of Montreal about the stallion, he seems really excited about it. He told me the shape will be different, but stupid as I was in this moment (when you have Petrucci in front of you how can you not just feel stupid hahaha) I forgot to ask more details about the shape. I'm really curious about the JPXII too. I hope more details soon !!!

I know, I know. But the linked thread is obviously closed. Hence, I revived this thread to keep the fruitful (not devastating!) "Majesty" discussion alive.

Just throwing this out there, the angled headstock and higher access to upper frets may indicate set neck/neck through design, maybe JP got to test drive the armada and things went from there...

Regardless of speculation Im sure it will be great :)
