Serious one too !!

A Markbass LMK head + footswitch and 3! Markbass TRV 102P cabs

Also a Hevos midget cab (maybe someting to check out for all you Markbass nuts? ;) Its very similar to Markbass and it's made in the netherlands  ) HEVOS basversterking

Sorry no pics yet but you get the idea of stacking 3 Markbass TRV 102P cabs sideways on eachother ;)
Sure I know I can't use em all 3 at the same time but I play in two bands and I don't (can't) drive a car so you get the picture ;)

Enjoy anywayz !! I know I will (am)

I loved my MarkBass Little Mark II that I had for three months.

However, I may wait to get another one since the MarkBass being the "trendy amp of the moment "is really starting to get on my nerves.

I may join Stanky and hop back on the GK train. Now THAT stuff never let me down.

Infact I traded in a GK 2000RB (yes the older version of the 2001RB) and a super heavy Ampeg Pro series cab(weight 60Kg an Watt 600-1200) for the Markbass stuff so ...

But I have no choice really Bassists with no car have to choose ya know

I'm also going for the new Markbass F1 (1U!) head

Anyone interested in some stuff ? lol ;)

-SWR Mo'Bass
-SWR Goliath II
-Trace Elliot 7210H combo + free 15 crap cab ;)
-Trace Elliot BLX 130 combo
-Yamaha BB3000A
-Ibanez ATK Prestige
-EKO Violin Bass

I'm from Belgium though so ...yeah !!

Dude, I had a MarkBass about a week after they hit GC floors. Did you miss that? Guess so.

Ive never heard you play but Ill bet you an even hundred that no matter how good you MIGHT sound that Stanky and his GK tone will give you all the run you can handle.

I myself are a huge fan of Flea's sound
I can get the sound very easely from both GK or Markbass with the flat EQ settings (GK with the boost full and a bit of mid boost)
Also got it with the SWR Mo' Bass but with a lot of tweaking :(

I love plug and play amps (flat settings ---> great sound) GK and markbass (and Hevos)

Still I choose for Markbass cuz of the weight thing (also love GK and SWR though)

Other than being a trendy choice, I would have thought that a 6lb amp that sounds great would be a rather practical choice for someone with a bad back? :D

I did miss that, so you've had a Markbass before, but got rid of it.... Did you not like it?
I know Stanky HAS to sound good with the SR5's and the 1001, because I had a 1001RB and my Ray, it sounded great, but when I played Markbass, to me, it sounded better than the GK, that's why I switched. If you are happy with your Ampeg, then I'm happy for you, and if Stanky is happy with his GK, I'm happy for him. =)

Stanky is getting gigs. His sound must be okay.

I have heard the Markbass and EB combination. It is great.

Of course my bongo and peavey combo is too so.

I am just happy someone has an amp that they really like.

Thank you for you kind words Travis.

Been on tour the past 2 weeks and the GK stuff is still pumpin' out some phat tone.

MarkBass is cool and all. It sounds great. GK for me though.

Ho! Who ARE you? Your hat is beginning to eat your brains!

I will always respect your choices - anyone's choices, really, within reason (hey, I'm only human, and yes, I've had the DNA tests to prove it). You know me well enough to know I don't give a rat's behind about trends, but reading some other forums, I can see where you might get the idea that it's "trendy".

We're not trendy here, are we?

Just don't let me catch you playing Crates.

500 watts, 6 lbs, low price point, I could see how that would start a trend. But they also sound great. This isn't a contest, whatever you play(GK, Ampeg, Markbass..etc) it's about the music right? Sometimes I wonder if people love the gear more than the actual music. If we all spent a 1/4 of the time actually playing our instruments as we do talking about gear we'd all be better musicians.

This MarkBass bug hit me by force.

I was going to go with either Hartke, Mesa, or Ampeg 2 months ago before that car accident. Now with my back in shambles, I don't think I'm going to be using any of those guys now. So that's the one of the only reasonx I'm going with Markbass: weight. The only thing I really don't like about possibly owning one of their amps is having a large bumblebee standing behind me.

I'm only 20, and I'm hoping that my back will improve so that I can use some other brands, but I've been so impressed by the tone from Markbass and the weight was the final deciding factor.

Thanks Chris.

Yeah I figured I would stop by a couple GC's to check them out while I'm in so. cal. at the end of July.
I know I'll be ordering a Bongo 5 (from Pete) when I get back, so I'm planning on a whole new bass rig just becuase I want to.......I honestly don't have a better reason LOL.
I bet I'll end up with more Mesa bass gear, which will leave my pair of SWR 12 pack 2x12's lonelier than ever...oh well :D
